Who wants to build products for AWS Canada?

Greetings to you all, thanks for visiting my profile. Some of you have been following me for a while and some are new to my followers so I wanted to update all y’all to what I’m up to and see if it interests you- as you might see by my profile, I am a Senior Technical Recruiter by trade and I am currently recruiting for AWS Canada!

There is a lot of news lately about tech hiring slowing down but we at AWS Canada are still in hyper scaling growth mode. Canada is a strategic location for AWS because of a few reasons including the proximity to North American clients, our immigration system is so much better then our friends down south and we have a great talent pool of software engineers already established. Hence, we are in hyper scale growth mode here and I have a lot of roles to hire for. The teams I hire for are all product focused and build next gen technologies such as AWS #Glue, #QLDB , #EMR (Elastic MapReduce) and our Transactional Services team.

#Hereataws we are tech agnostic however, we are big supporters of open source projects like the Rust foundation, and I have teams that are building with Rust, Go, Java, Python etc…. basically, my teams are hiring predominantly fungible, fullstack engineers with a focus on the backend; if you are an experienced engineer whom enjoys writing code and building new products with scalability in mind and you want to have an impact on the direction of where the Cloud is going, AWS is the place to land since we are the global leader on providing cloud services. Did you know that only 10% of IT infrastructures have deployed into the cloud and so this sector will continue to be growing as more companies realize the advantages of embracing it.
